Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are in search of a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you'll provide advanced nursing care to patients, including diagnosing and managing health conditions, conducting physical exams, and developing treatment plans. You'll work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care and participate in health education initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations and document medical histories.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as needed.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Supervise nursing staff and provide mentorship.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
• Coordinate patient care with other specialists and services.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of medical advancements.
• Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth operation within the clinic.
• Foster a nurturing environment for patients to discuss their health concerns.
• Assist in research and clinical trials as required.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification

Experience

• 5+ years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Ability to provide telehealth services: Experience with virtual patient care is a plus.
