Fire Equipment Inspector Helper

Job Description

We are looking for a Fire Equipment Inspector Helper to assist our Fire Equipment Inspector in conducting inspections and maintenance of various fire suppression systems. The role requires precision, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of portable fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and sprinkler systems.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Aid in documenting maintenance activities for compliance audits.
• Conduct safety checks on fire suppression systems and report discrepancies.
• Assist in the training of new staff on fire safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the Fire Equipment Inspector for effective service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant qualification in fire safety is a plus

Experience

• Experience in inspection and maintenance of fire alarms and detection systems is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of relevant safety standards

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in kitchen fire suppression systems: Understanding of the equipment and regulations for kitchen safety.
