You will be responsible for advising on tax implications of business decisions, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and helping clients navigate through tax audits and disputes. Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and accuracy of tax returns.
• Conduct tax planning and provide advice regarding tax obligations.
• Review and analyze clients' financial statements and business structures for tax planning.
• Assist in the handling of tax audits and inquiries from revenue authorities.
• Stay abreast of legislative developments in the tax landscape.
• Support clients in dispute resolution matters with tax authorities.
• Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Postgraduate degree in Taxation or related field preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in tax advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Tax Legislation Knowledge
• Tax Return Preparation

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Pastel, QuickBooks): Experience with general accounting software and systems.
• Experience in corporate taxation: Specialisation in corporate tax planning and compliance.
