Public Health Analyst

Job Description

As a Public Health Analyst, you will play a vital role in shaping health policies and programs that directly impact the lives of citizens in Port Elizabeth. Your analytical expertise will be instrumental in evaluating health data, conducting needs assessments, and participating in health research to inform decision-making and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze health statistics to identify priorities for community health programs.
• Create and present data visualizations for public health data to inform stakeholders.
• Engage with community members to understand health challenges and needs.
• Support grant writing and funding proposals for health projects.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
• Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices in public health.
• Contribute to local health policy development and advocacy efforts.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on data analysis tools and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in public health or data analysis
