Job Description

As a Butcher and Meat Cutter at the Beef Shoppe, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their beef purchases, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about customer service and have an interest in the meat industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers.
• Prepare and package meat to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Assist with managing stock and inventory levels.
• Support the butchery manager in daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 Certificate

Experience

• No experience required but previous experience in a retail environment will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Numerical ability
• Knowledge of beef cuts

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with beef cuts and preparation methods: Knowledge of different meat cuts and how to prepare them will be advantageous.
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems: Comfortable using POS software for transactions.
