Log Haul Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Log Haul Operator who can safely transport logs from the forest to our mills using a variety of heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate is experienced in operating trucks in challenging conditions and follows all safety protocols diligently.

Responsibilities

• Drive heavy vehicles along assigned routes while maintaining schedule.
• Follow all road rules and distance regulations for safe transportation.
• Keep detailed records of fuel usage and vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure that logs are loaded securely to prevent spillage.
• Conduct safety assessments of the load before departure.
• Communicate any changes in transport plans to management.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.
• Support sustainability initiatives in the transportation of logs.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver's license with a minimum of Code 10
• Certification in heavy-duty vehicle operation preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
