Log Haul Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a capable Log Haul Operator who will be responsible for safely transporting logs from logging sites to various destinations. This role demands a keen focus on safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of logs transported and delivery times.
• Participate in safety training programs.
• Assist in planning and optimizing transportation routes.
• Report any incidents or safety hazards immediately.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide assistance during loading and unloading operations.
• Work collaboratively with the forestry team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to schedules and adjust to changes in delivery requirements.
• Assist in resolving logistical challenges as they arise.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy-duty vehicles.

Certifications

• Valid Driver's License with appropriate endorsements for heavy-duty vehicles
• Additional certifications in heavy machinery operation (advantageous)
