Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Archaeologist to lead and manage archaeological projects. The successful candidate will conduct extensive research and analysis to interpret historical artifacts and sites while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field mapping, excavation, and laboratory analysis of artifacts.
  • Assess the significance of archaeological sites and develop preservation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Organize workshops and presentations to disseminate findings.
  • Mentor interns and junior archaeologists, providing training and oversight.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders on heritage preservation.
  • Contribute to academic publications and reports to enhance the firm’s reputation.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's Degree in Archaeology or related field
  • PhD preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in archaeological fieldwork and project management experience.

Advantageous
