Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Medical Researcher to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will design, conduct, and analyse clinical research studies aimed at enhancing patient care and medical practices. Ideal candidates should have a robust background in medical research methodologies and a keen interest in advancing healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop research proposals and funding applications.
• Monitor the progress of research studies and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to the development of new research methodologies.
• Engage with patients and focus groups for qualitative research.
• Work with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine or Health Sciences
• Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in clinical trials and research

Technical Skills

• Data Management Systems
• Ethics in Research

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA)
• ISO 14155 Certified

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of medical writing: Experience in preparing and reviewing study protocols and reports.
• Exposure to diverse therapeutic areas: Experience in various fields of medical research, e.g., oncology, cardiology.
