Job Description

We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team in Cape Town. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems, conducting tests and evaluations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will play a crucial part in developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mechanical products, systems, and processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance designs.
• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
• Review designs for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics
• Technical Writing

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with HVAC systems: Knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools: Experience with PLM software for managing product development.
