Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will provide support and guidance to clients dealing with various mental health issues. You will implement treatment plans and conduct assessments to ensure effective care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic sessions using evidence-based practices.
• Evaluate client behaviors and provide feedback.
• Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead community outreach programs to enhance mental health awareness.
• Coordinate with external agencies for client referrals.
• Provide after-hours emergency support when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
• Preferred additional qualification in counselling

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a mental health setting
