Job Description

We are looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of clinical trial processes, be detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. You will play a crucial role in coordinating clinical research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Medical Officer/ Principal Investigator for protocol adherence.
  • Supervise clinical trial staff and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Handle necessary correspondence such as ethics applications and reports.
  • Assist in preparing study data and reports for analysis.
  • Track enrollment numbers and manage participant engagement.
  • Ensure timely submission of progress and safety reports to ethics committees.
  • Attend and represent the study at local and national meetings.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and document findings.
  • Support the overall goal of the research project and promote study visibility.
  • Prepare for Sponsor Audits and monitor follow-up actions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree in related fields preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in managing clinical trials
