Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design, analysis, and project management. You will be responsible for developing and optimising mechanical systems, ensuring high performance and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Utilise CAD software for detailed design and modelling.
• Develop prototypes and perform rigorous testing.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to improve processes.
• Address any technical issues that arise in manufacturing.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project scopes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical advice.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

• Mechanical Systems Design

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

• Proficiency in MATLAB: Experience with MATLAB for simulations and calculations is preferred.
