Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with local regulations. You will play a crucial role in managing our clients' financial transactions, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights into their financial health.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of daily bookkeeping including data entry.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with clients regarding their financial inquiries.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and budgets.
• Implement new accounting software and train staff.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Maintain a system for accurate record keeping.
• Organize and update client files as necessary.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly tax reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Further qualifications in accounting will be advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in a similar role

• SAGE

Certifications

• Certified Bookkeeper
• Excel Certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
