Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious Environmental Engineer to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to develop and implement innovative solutions that address environmental challenges. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote sustainability and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential environmental risks and recommend corrective actions
• Supervise environmental monitoring activities and data collection
• Work with local communities to raise awareness about sustainability practices
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmentally friendly practices
• Compile and analyze environmental data for reporting purposes
• Assist with grant writing for sustainability initiatives
• Contribute to the development of corporate environmental policies
• Participate in public consultations and workshops

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years with proven experience in environmental projects

Technical Skills

• Environmental Modelling Software
• Sustainability Practices

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
