Pharmacist

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the appropriateness of prescriptions and identify potential drug interactions.
• Educate patients on health and wellness topics.
• Support the Pharmacy Manager in meeting operational goals and objectives.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy protocols and policies.
• Provide input on medication therapy management.
• Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent qualification
• Additional certifications in relevant pharmaceutical fields are an advantage

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmacology
• Patient Counseling

Soft Skills

• Communication

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Proficient
