Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Urban Planner to join our dynamic team in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating sustainable plans for urban development and infrastructure. As part of our team, you will engage with community stakeholders to assess needs and implement effective planning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead urban planning projects from inception to completion.
  • Utilize GIS and other planning tools to visualize and assess land use.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and environmental experts.
  • Conduct public consultations and workshops to engage the community.
  • Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Evaluate existing urban areas and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing grant proposals and funding applications.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning or similar is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in urban planning or a related field
