Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting environmental assessments, advising clients on sustainability practices, and contributing to projects that promote ecological balance. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential as you will liaise closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ecological data and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Guide clients in implementing environmental policies.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote sustainability.
• Conduct audits of existing environmental practices.
• Support the development of educational materials on environmental issues.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Implement best practices to improve environmental performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the environmental sector

Technical Skills

• Ecological Restoration
• Risk Assessment

• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accreditation
• Certified Environmental Manager (CEM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
