Job Description

We are on the lookout for a qualified Massage Therapist to join our dedicated team at Wellness Centre in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic massage services, helping our clients achieve relaxation and improve overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and concerns.
• Administer therapeutic massages and techniques to promote healing and relaxation.
• Provide education to clients about the benefits of massage and wellness practices.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights for service improvement.
• Manage appointment bookings and follow-ups with clients.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Massage Therapy or equivalent
• Certification in sports massage is a bonus

Experience

• 1-3 years of hands-on massage therapy experience

Technical Skills

• Hot Stone Massage
• Trigger Point Therapy

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Client Service Orientation

Certifications

• Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx)
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in reflexology: Knowledge of reflexology techniques to aid relaxation and healing.
• Familiarity with wellness trends: Understanding of current health and wellness trends to better serve clients.
