Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Worker to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. Your primary duties will include supervising children's daily activities, promoting their social and emotional development, and collaborating with parents to ensure each child's needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and nurturing environment for children.
• Engage children in play-based learning activities.
• Assist in organizing educational outings and field trips.
• Provide care for children with special needs and ensure inclusivity.
• Maintain accurate records of children's attendance and health.
• Facilitate family involvement in childcare activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the childcare program.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Assist in training new staff and volunteers.
• Promote positive relationships with children and their families.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Early Childhood Education is an advantage

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in childcare or a related field

Technical Skills

• Child Development Knowledge
• First Aid and CPR Certification

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Empathy

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with children with special needs: Knowledge and experience working with children requiring additional support.
• Bilingual abilities: Fluency in more than one language is a plus.
