Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Draftsman to join our skilled team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting detailed mechanical designs and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Strong CAD skills and a solid understanding of engineering principles are essential.

Responsibilities

• Draft comprehensive mechanical designs and layouts for new products.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes.
• Utilize advanced CAD software to ensure precision in designs.
• Research and source materials that meet project specifications.
• Prepare presentation materials for design reviews with stakeholders.
• Analyze and resolve design issues as they arise during the development process.
• Document engineering changes to maintain accurate project records.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
