Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with project managers and other engineers to ensure successful project delivery, providing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for new projects.
• Oversee installation processes and perform quality checks.
• Evaluate electrical equipment performance and recommend upgrades.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of materials.
• Conduct workshops and training for engineering staff.
• Prepare and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and safety practices.
• Assist with emergency troubleshooting and repairs.
• Lead a team of engineers for specific projects.
• Compile and manage project documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a project management role
