Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Academic Counselor to assist students in navigating their academic paths. This role involves providing personalized guidance in course selection, educational planning, and career exploration.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' academic and career needs to tailor counseling approaches.
• Facilitate workshops on academic improvement strategies and study skills.
• Collaborate with academic staff to provide integrated support for students.
• Manage records of student interactions and outcomes to track progress.
• Engage in community outreach to inform potential students about academic offerings.
• Advise students on internship and scholarship opportunities relevant to their fields.
• Conduct follow-up meetings with students to ensure they’re on track with their academic plans.
• Utilize academic advising software to maintain student records and monitor progress.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counseling or Education is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in academic counseling is advantageous

• Data analysis tools

Certifications

• Certified Academic Advisor

Languages

• English: Fluent
