Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of information security concepts and be skilled in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Advise on security best practices and technology advancements.
• Support the security architecture and design initiatives.
• Participate in security incident investigations and forensics.
• Work with teams to remediate security weaknesses.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology
• Relevant certifications are a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks: Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework or ISO 27001.
• Familiarity with scripting languages: Knowledge of scripting for automation in security processes.
