Job Description

As a Coating, Painting, and Spraying Machine Setter, you will be responsible for applying lettering, numbering, and identification marks on railroad cars. Your attention to detail will ensure all markings are clear, accurate, and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards during the application process.
• Train new team members on proper lettering and painting techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of markings applied to ensure standards are met.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.
• Operate and maintain specialized painting equipment and machines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Manage inventory of painting supplies and request new materials as needed.
• Engage in continuous learning regarding new painting techniques and materials.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on technical subjects
• Certification in painting or manufacturing preferred

Experience

• Experience working in the railroad or transportation industry is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of different lettering techniques and materials
• Understanding of safety procedures and precautions

Soft Skills

• Time management skills
• Basic mathematical skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
