Job Description

The Public Health Officer will play a vital role in developing and implementing health programs aimed at improving the health standards of the Bloemfontein community. This role combines research, community engagement, and policy development to address pressing public health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments and community needs evaluations.
  • Engage in public speaking to promote health initiatives and advocate for policy changes.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for health programs.
  • Advocate for health-related legislation and policies at the local level.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant public health experience
