General Practitioner

Job Description

As a General Practitioner in Pretoria, you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of patients significantly. We are looking for someone who is not only medically knowledgeable but also passionate about improving patient outcomes through preventive care and health education.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine health checks and screenings.
• Engage with patients to understand their health histories.
• Provide vaccinations and immunizations as mandated.
• Facilitate patient referrals and follow-up care.
• Advocate for patients’ health needs within the healthcare system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Document all patient interactions in electronic health records.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in urgent situations.
• Conduct community health outreach programs.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust plans as needed.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• At least 5 years of clinical experience preferred
