Job Description

In the role of Mental Health Counselor in Bloemfontein, you will play a critical part in supporting individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise will help clients navigate their mental health journeys, utilizing evidence-based practices and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored for individual clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans regularly.
  • Support clients in setting and achieving therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with family members to provide holistic care.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to facilitate necessary services for clients.
  • Ensure confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld at all times.
  • Conduct referrals for advanced care when necessary.
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to improving organizational practices.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team training sessions.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Postgraduate diploma in Counseling is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in counseling or psychotherapy
