Job Description

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting occupational therapists in providing rehabilitative care to patients. Your focus will be on helping clients improve their daily living skills, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Implement therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Assist patients with mobility and basic daily activities during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Attend continued education workshops to improve skill sets and knowledge.
  • Aid in the preparation of therapy equipment and materials.
  • Assist in the evaluation of patients' progress toward therapy goals.
  • Encourage patients' self-confidence and motivation throughout the therapy process.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences is advantageous
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in providing support in therapeutic environments
