Job Description

Join our Johannesburg office as a Structural Engineer where you will focus on the development and implementation of structural designs. You will be responsible for project management, working closely with clients and construction teams to translate project requirements into actionable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural design concepts for residential and commercial buildings.
• Oversee the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Identify and resolve any structural issues during construction phases.
• Assist in the preparation of project estimates and proposals.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities regarding permits and inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of engineering designs and calculations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
