Structural Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Inspector to join our team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating structures to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations. This role requires a strong background in structural engineering principles and hands-on inspection skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess structural integrity through field assessments and site visits.
• Compile comprehensive reports outlining inspection outcomes.
• Advise on compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to confirm rectifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure alignment with standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural inspections and evaluations

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Professional Registration as an Engineer (Pr. Eng) preferred

Languages

• Experience with Structural Rehabilitation: Experience in evaluating and rehabilitating aging structures.
