Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of various structures. You will collaborate with architects and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet all safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Utilize software tools for modeling and simulations in structural design.
• Assist in developing project budgets and timelines.
• Contribute to environmental sustainability initiatives in design.
• Draft engineering designs that comply with regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Design Standards Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project management experience: Experience leading engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Knowledge of seismic design principles: Understanding of seismic engineering and analysis.
