Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, education, and well-being of children in a fun and dynamic environment. Candidates should have a genuine love for children and the ability to facilitate their learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Observe and challenge children to efficiently explore their environment.
• Support the integration of children with different needs.
• Create reports on children's activities for parents and staff.
• Help to plan fun field trips and special activities.
• Ensure that toys and materials are safe and suitable for children's age groups.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a childcare setting preferred

Technical Skills

• Record-Keeping Skills

Soft Skills

• Empathy

Certifications

• Childcare Level 1 Certification
• First Aid/CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Previous experience with special needs children.: Experience and comfort in handling children with special requirements.
• Bilingual abilities.: Being fluent in both English and Afrikaans, or having another local language is a plus.
