Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Durban. This position requires a deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and tax regulations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of financial reports and analyses to support business decisions.
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers.
• Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management.
• Develop financial policies in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Support all audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
• Evaluate and manage financial risks within the organization.
• Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure effective tax planning.

Requirements

Education

• BCom Accounting or similar
• CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred

Experience

• Proven track record in accounting roles for 5+ years
