Roustabout (Oil Rig Floorhand)

Job Description

We are searching for a Roustabout (Oil Rig Floorhand) with a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic. This role involves assisting the drilling crew with equipment maintenance, rigging, and performing various labor duties on an oil rig.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the rigging crew to set up and take down equipment.
• Monitor the condition of tools and report any issues.
• Participate in safety drills and training as required.
• Perform physical tasks that support drilling operations.
• Assist with the maintenance of a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience on an oil rig preferred

Technical Skills

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Heavy equipment operation

Soft Skills

• Strong teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Valid offshore survival certificate
• Basic safety training certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of oil and gas safety regulations: Familiarity with safety standards in the industry.
• Previous offshore experience: Experience working on offshore oil rigs.
