Event Planner

Job Description

As an Event Planner, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing diverse events in Johannesburg. This includes everything from conceptualizing themes to handling budgets and coordinating with suppliers. Your ability to multitask and your keen eye for detail will ensure that each event runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Design event concepts in alignment with client vision and objectives.
• Oversee contract negotiations with vendors and venues.
• Implement social media strategies for event promotion.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate potential venues.
• Ensure all events are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Compile and present post-event reports to clients.
• Assist with the development of marketing materials for events.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with events.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the events team.
• Build a network of industry contacts to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in event management roles

Certifications

• Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
