Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical design and engineering principles. You will be involved in various projects aimed at enhancing mechanical systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate with engineers and stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
• Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and assembly.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
• Act as a mentor for junior engineers and interns.
• Document all stages of the development process for future reference.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in mechanical engineering projects

• AutoCAD

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
