Job Description

We are seeking a Retail Manager to lead our store operations in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, excellent leadership skills, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You will manage daily operations, oversee staff, and drive sales initiatives to achieve targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork.
• Implement efficient cash handling procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain an organized and presentable store layout.
• Guide staff in product knowledge and customer engagement.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback.
• Evaluate market trends to inform merchandising strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Retail Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in retail, with at least 2 years in a management role

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Being bilingual will help in serving a diverse customer base.
