Public Health Specialist

Job Description

In this role, you will lead efforts in monitoring public health trends and concerns. The successful candidate will engage with diverse groups and coordinate public health educational campaigns designed to foster health equity and access to resources.

Responsibilities

• Monitor emerging public health trends and issues.
• Collaborate with researchers to develop evidence-based interventions.
• Support the planning and execution of health fairs and screenings.
• Work on creating partnerships with local health agencies.
• Prepare public health education materials for diverse populations.
• Facilitate workshops to enhance community engagement.
• Conduct research on health behaviours and outcomes.
• Report findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or a related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in public health or health services management

Technical Skills

• Qualitative Research
• Health Policy Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Public Speaking

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
• Health Coach Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge in grant writing: Experience in applying for and managing health funding grants.
