Job Description

As a Retail Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of store operations in Johannesburg. Your focus will be on managing day-to-day activities, motivating your team, and driving sales performance through strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and enthusiasm.
• Model exceptional customer service behavior for the staff.
• Conduct performance reviews for staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions and policies regarding payment, exchanges, and security practices.
• Participate in the development of staff training programs.
• Ensure the adherence to company standards for product presentation and customer service.
• Act as a liaison between upper management and store employees.
• Track and report sales performance, and set priorities for improvement.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement among staff.
• Engage with the local community to enhance store visibility.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Retail Management or related field
• Certifications in Retail Management or Sales are advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in retail

Technical Skills

• Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
• Marketing Strategies
