Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal advice, manage compliance matters, and liaise with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth legal operations. With a focus on corporate law and compliance, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' interests are protected.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate governance issues and best practices.
• Help negotiate settlements and agreements during disputes.
• Review and update company policies to align with applicable laws.
• Assist in the due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions.
• Engage with regulatory bodies on compliance matters.
• Provide training to staff on legal compliance and risk management.
• Review and mitigate potential legal risks related to business operations.
• Lead legal audits and compliance checks.
• Support in preparing for legal hearings and mediation.
• Ensure all legal documents are accurately filed and stored.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent qualification in Law
• Admitted attorney or advocate preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a legal advisory role
