Job Description

As a Booster Pump Oiler, you will be responsible for maintaining and lubricating booster pumps. This role involves assisting in operation, inspection, and ensuring that pumps function seamlessly across various sectors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular checks on booster pumps to ensure they are properly lubricated.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and carry out necessary repairs.
• Work with the engineering team to enhance pump operational efficiency.
• Document all maintenance activities and any discrepancies in performance.
• Engage in continuous training to stay updated with maintenance techniques.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Support the installation of new pump systems when required.
• Educate junior team members on best maintenance practices.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in safe working order.
• Assist supervisors in developing maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical diploma in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in pump maintenance or similar role.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of pump control software
• Engineering diagrams interpretation

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the industry: Understanding and application of industry-wide safety protocols.
