Job Description

We are seeking skilled Conveyor Operators and Tenders to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of conveyor belts and material handling equipment within our facilities. Ideal candidates should possess technical skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of conveyor systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and implement solutions.
• Install and replace components such as pulleys and motors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in the development of maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance work.
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on safety.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Conveyor System Operations
• Hydraulic Systems Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Communication

Advantageous

• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards: Understanding of quality management systems and standards is a plus.
• Ability to work shifts: Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts.
