Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for designing processes and equipment for large-scale production. You will collaborate with other engineers and scientists to ensure safety and efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design equipment layouts and flow diagrams.
• Perform risk assessments and identify process improvements.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Deliver presentations on project status and improvements.
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Assist with budget preparation for engineering projects.
• Support the implementation of sustainable practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) designation preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry
