Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Durban. This role requires an understanding of sourcing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiation to ensure timely procurement of goods. The ideal candidate will play a critical part in optimizing our purchasing processes and maintaining supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier and stakeholder engagement to optimize supply chain performance.
• Analyze purchasing trends and recommend adjustments to the strategy.
• Provide training and support to junior procurement staff.
• Ensure procurement activities align with business strategies and goals.
• Utilize procurement software to manage and streamline processes.
• Identify risks in supply continuity and develop mitigation plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• Professional designation such as CIPS or similar is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years in procurement or purchasing role
