Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, while providing exceptional client education and support. You'll work collaboratively in a supportive environment dedicated to animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess animal patients for signs of illness or injury.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Provide recommendations for further treatments and wellness plans.
• Direct and supervise junior veterinary staff when required.
• Encourage a culture of compassion and advocacy for animals.
• Improve clinic procedures to enhance client experience.
• Build strong relationships with clients to promote trust and service.
• Actively participate in community outreach events.

Requirements

Education

• DVM or equivalent qualification
• Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in clinical practice

Technical Skills

• Radiology
• Emergency care

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Advanced Life Support Certification
• Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
