Hoist and Winch Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Hoist and Winch Operator, where you will be responsible for the efficient rigging up and rigging down of drilling rigs and related equipment. You will work closely with the Driller and crew to ensure smooth operations during drilling activities.

Responsibilities

• Rigging up and rigging down drilling rigs and associated equipment.
• Monitoring the condition and operation of hoists and winches.
• Operating and maintaining heavy machinery safely.
• Performing safety checks on equipment before use.
• Reporting issues and maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Collaborating with other crew members for effective workflows.
• Documenting work activities and equipment usage accurately.
• Participating in safety drills and training sessions.
• Assisting in developing safe operational plans.
• Ensuring a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma
• Technical qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in drilling operations.

Technical Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

Certifications

• Crane Operator Certification or similar

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working in remote or offshore locations.: Prior experience in challenging environments, including oil rigs.
• Understanding of health and safety compliance in drilling operations.: Knowledge of safety practices and regulations pertaining to drilling.
