Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Cancer Registrar to join our team. This role involves collecting and maintaining accurate records of cancer patient data, which is vital for ensuring quality care and supporting cancer research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collect cancer patient data and ensure the accuracy of all records.
  • Collaborate with the oncology team and other departments to gather necessary information.
  • Create detailed reports from cancer registry data for clinical and administrative use.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards during data handling.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with cancer registration standards.
  • Facilitate the submission of cancer data to national cancer databases.
  • Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with audits and quality checks as necessary.
  • Support cancer awareness initiatives through accurate data representation.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field
  • Certification as a Cancer Registrar (CTR) is highly desirable
Experience
  • Experience with cancer surveillance programs is an advantage
