Network Security Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Network Security Engineer to fortify our cybersecurity framework in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of network security protocols and best practices, ensuring the protection of our infrastructures from potential threats. In this role, you will collaborate closely with IT teams to implement security measures and monitor for vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security measures.
• Analyze and report on security incidents and breaches.
• Perform risk assessment and management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Advise on security improvements and enhancements.
• Participate in security audits and assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Master's degree in Information Security is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in network security
