Job Description

The Retail Manager position at our Port Elizabeth store is tailored for an experienced leader with a strong background in retail operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, ensuring a high standard of customer service while driving sales and achieving financial goals. We are looking for a proactive individual who can manage a diverse team and inspire excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of store management while ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Implement training programs for staff development and retention.
  • Develop promotional campaigns and manage their execution.
  • Maintain an attractive and well-organized store display.
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate prices and manage orders.
  • Ensure financial targets are met while controlling costs.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Ensure proper cash handling and reconciliation processes are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management regarding store performance.
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Retail Management or Business
  • Further studies in Management is beneficial
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a retail supervisory role
